In our very first blog post, we would like to tell you a bit more about photography and its never-ending potential. The one thing we love about it is that every single practitioner may find their own niche, style, and way to express their ideas, emotions, and views. There is no such thing as right or wrong photography.
The only contrast between pictures is that some of them will affect you on an emotional level, and others will not. This, however, does not mean that the latter is a bad form of photography. If you’re curious to learn more about this particular form of art, we advise you to keep reading our welcome post.
Our Main Areas of Interest
If you have read our About Us page, you already know how much we love photography and all its variations. That’s the main reason why we have decided to create our blog and to focus on this exact theme in particular. All five of us love taking pictures in our everyday lives and spend most of our spare time exploring works by other artists.
Every one of us has different preferences when it comes to the field of photography. I, for instance, love taking portrait photographs. I find it extremely amazing how comfortable people feel when I take photos of them. At first, I only took pictures of my boyfriend, but once I showed the pictures to my friends, all of them asked me to take shots of them, as well.
Emily, on the other hand, is an absolute travel addict. She literally spends all her money on vacations. The good thing for us is that every time she goes to a new place, she comes back with hundreds of splendid photos taken there. She takes great interest in learning more about other nations’ cultures and customs. Over the years, her experience has expanded immensely, and now she is able to capture all of these interesting things via her camera. As unbelievable as it sounds, every time she shows us some of her photos, we feel as if we are immediately taken to that destination.
Brad is immensely passionate about nature photography. His hobbies include getting lost in the forest and somehow finding his way back home. During his long-lasting adventures, he manages to take incredible photos. At present, he is trying to master his skills in microphotography by taking up-close shots of insects, leaves, and flowers.
The Endless Potential Photography Has
We are certain that with the previous section, we have managed to convey the message that passion for photography is different for everyone. Even though we are a team and we’ve known each other for ages, each one of us has a specific area of interest when it comes to taking pictures. However, all of us admire works of artists who have specialized in different styles.
That’s what we meant in the beginning when we said there isn’t such thing as bad and good photography. Undeniably, in the beginning, your shots may not be as good as you’d expect them to be. The only thing you need in order to make your work even more amazing is nothing but practice.
You shouldn’t spend tons of money on expensive gear when you can simply use your phone’s camera at first. Then, once you feel more confident, you may invest some money into purchasing a professional camera and lenses suitable for your area of expertise.
Some people like taking pictures of animals, others enjoy the process of cooking and photographing meals, and some love taking pictures of people. All three of these fall into different categories, namely, Landscape Photography, Food Photography, and Portrait Photography. There are many other styles in photography, such as:
- Aerial Photography
- Abstract Photography
- Black and White Photography
- Macro Photography
- Micro Photography
- Architectural Photography
- Sports Photography
What Are the Perks of Growing Familiar with Photography
You can be interested in photography without actually being skilled in it. Many people admire other people’s works without trying to acquire that particular skill. For example, not everyone who likes reading books becomes a writer, correct? Nonetheless, when it comes to photography, the cases when an individual actually tries to create something inspired by someone else’s work are not that rare.
In fact, a great deal of people get a sudden rush of inspiration and decide to take their chances with the camera. Allow us to ensure you that this is the best thing one can do. Even though you probably won’t be completely mesmerized by your first shots, this does not mean that you should give up if you actually enjoy the overall process. Broadening your knowledge by reading useful articles, such as the ones presented on our blog, will help you become better over time. Plus, the most essential thing for photographers is creativity, and here, you are guaranteed to find it.
